July
The puppies have arrived -
July 10th. 3 boys (1 black and 2 liver) and 3 girls (all
black). Coco and puppies are doing well.
June
This June, we headed to
Wisconsin for the FCRSA National Specialty. We had a
wonderful show and a great time. Tupac won 4th place in
his 9-11 yrs old Sweeps class and took 1st in the 9-11
class during the Regular show.
Shelby took a 3rd place in
his 15-18 month class. Kiwi, his sister, took a 3rd
place in her 15-18 sweeps class and made the cut in a
very large BBE class.
Banner received a 4th place
in a very competitive and large Working dog class.
Shooter made it through the
first round of cuts in Best of Breed.
Patate won a 3rd in her 7-9
veterans class. This class had a huge entry, so we were
very pleased with this placement!!!
May
We had a lovely weekend at
the Southeast Flat Coated Retriever Fanciers Supported
Entry. Jojo won Best of Breed and Kiwi was Best in Puppy
Sweepstakes under breeder Claire Koshar. Kiwi was also
RWB on the day of the Supported.
Banner received a JAM from
the Working dog class.
Shooter won the Breed on
Sunday and finished his Grand Championship. He is FlatOut's first homebred Grand Champion.
April
Coco won her first Select
point with our son showing her. He was very excited and
is already counting her Grand Championship points.
March
On Jojo's second weekend out
as a Special, he won a Sporting Group 3!!!!! We are so
proud of Jojo. This is our first owner-breeder-handled
group placement.
Shooter, also from the "C"
litter, is now half way to his Grand Championship.
Happy 9th Birthday to Vegas.
Still as active as ever, but now just with some gray
hairs and whiskers:)
Very sad month for FlatOut -
we had to say goodbye to our lovely Apollo on March
18th. He was 12.5 yrs old. We all miss him greatly. He
was the patriarch of our group and the house just
doesn't feel the same without him around.
February
Happy 2nd Birthday to the "D" litter.
Caleb and I traveled to
Florida for the Winter 2012 SSFCRC Supported entry. We
had a great time and were so thankful to see all our
friends and have their help showing our dogs:). Trooper
won Winners Dog twice, including Best of Winners the day
of the Supported, for a total of two majors worth
9 points. Kiwi won Winners Bitch the day of the
Supported for a 4 point major. Tupac won Best Veteran in
Sweepstakes and went on to win Best of Opposite sex in
Breed from the 9-11 veteran class. Coco with Caleb
showing her won Best of Opposite sex in Veteran
Sweepstakes and showed very nicely for him in the Breed.
January
Happy Birthday Kiwi and the
"F" litter. They turn one year old this month.
Tupac finishes his Grand
Championship in style by taking Breed both days at the
Charleston Kennel Club. He is FlatOut's first Grand
Champion.
