Pedigree
Max came to
us in June of 2004. We had seen him several times in
Holland and had fallen in love with him. He has
excellent breed type and character. He is a moderate dog
with lots of substance and bone. Max has a classic one
piece head with dark almond eyes. His side movement is
smooth and flowing. Max enjoys retrieving and has passed
his basic retrieving test in Holland. At Max's first
National Specialty, he won a JAM. He was ranked in the
top twenty both years he was campaigned as a Special. He
was invited to the Eukanuba Tournament of Champions in
2006 and 2007. In 2008, Max and I competed at
Westminster, a first for both of us. Max has had five
litters in the United States. His children have
inherited his silhouette and stable temperament.
Fanta, Jojo,
Patate and
Shooter are all Max babies.
Max had a very nice show his first time out as a
veteran. He won 2nd place in Veterans Sweeps and 1st
place in Veterans at the '09 National Specialty. He also
won 2nd place in Stud dog with Fanta and Jojo.
Max was
diagnosed with liver cancer (carcinoma) in February
2011. We were lucky to have him around for almost a
month after diagnosis. He is greatly missed here, the
house seems far too lonely without him:(
